The Harvest Moon, a celestial occurrence near the autumnal equinox, is known for its unique characteristics based on the ecliptic’s position in the sky. Inspired by this natural wonder, Harvest Moon Estate and Winery was established to grow, produce, and bottle exceptional Russian River Valley wines with a balanced, elegant style.

At Harvest Moon, we believe that Russian River Valley Zinfandel can be as complex and refined as any Pinot Noir or Bordeaux variety, deserving the same recognition. The Pitts family has cultivated quality grapes in the Russian River Valley since 1976. In 2000, Randy Pitts left San Francisco to oversee the family’s nine-acre ranch, learning farming techniques from his father and taking viticulture and enology courses at a local college. Randy’s homemade Zinfandel from the ranch’s back block was a delightful success, leading him to realize Zinfandel’s potential as one of California’s distinguished wines. Embracing their roles as growers and winemakers, the Pitts family released their first vintage in 2002 and continue to make their mark on the wine scene.

Beyond Zinfandel, Harvest Moon handcrafts limited quantities of Russian River Valley Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, and Syrah; Dry Creek Cabernet Sauvignon; Alta Mesa Malbec; and Alexander Valley Sangiovese.

Harvest Moon Winery welcomes our senior guests for a delightful wine tasting experience steeped in flavors and thoughtful delights. Available Monday through Thursday, wine lovers aged 55 and over are invited to explore our Harvest Moon Tasting Experience for a special price of just $15.

Seeking a dash of sparkle in your tasting journey? Upgrade to our exclusive Tiny Bubble Experience for only $25. Each flight invites you to indulge in a handpicked selection of six of our exquisite wines, all crafted with passion and meticulous attention to detail.

We now waive tasting fees for this experience with two bottles per person purchases!

Enjoy an expansive and educational wine tasting experience, led by one of our passionate wine educators in our garden courtyard. Explore our hand-crafted wines while gaining insights into our winemaking philosophy and techniques and uncovering the rich history of our family-owned estate. CRUSH PAD EXPERIENCE $25 to $35 Per Flight

We warmly welcome you to our Crush Pad experience, available to walk-in guests seeking a relaxed and informal tasting experience. While reservations are available, they are not required. Seating is offered on a first-come, first-served basis in our comfortable and inviting crush pad seating area, which features both shared and group seating options. Our Crush Pad experience offers a choice of themed pre-poured sampling flights, including chilled, red, dessert, and sparkling wines, with prices ranging from $25 to $35 per tasting flight. Refreshing snack options and non-alcoholic beverages are also available in our tasting room. We kindly request that no outside food or drinks be brought onto the premises.

TASTE, PAINT & PLANT EXPERIENCE $45 to $55 Per guest

Get creative with your casual Crush Pad tasting experience and enjoy our hand-crafted wines while you relax and paint a terra cotta pot. After you’ve enjoyed your flight and the paint has dried, we invite you select your favorite succulent from our lush tasting area to snip and plant in your newly painted pot (seasonal flowering bulbs also available) The Crush Pad flight included in this experience is a choice of themed pre-poured sampling flights, including chilled, red, dessert, and sparkling wines, with prices ranging from $45 to $55, including the pot, paint & planting. Refreshing snack options and non-alcoholic beverages are also available in our tasting room. We kindly request that no outside food or drinks be brought onto the premises. Please allow 90-120 minutes for this experience.
